Creative evening dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the People's artist of Uzbekistan Sattar Yarashev

SATTAR YARASHEVICH YARASHEV - singer (dramatic tenor) Sattar Yarashev was born in the village of Mugiyon, Vabkent district, Bukhara region, in the family of a dekhkan. At that time, one of the first heads of the amateur theater group of the Vabkent district Abdulla Artykov drew attention to the sonorous voice of the shepherd Sattar. So began the creative life of Sattar Yarashev. He remembered 1940 forever. Then he was invited to the Bukhara Regional Musical Drama Theater. On the stage of this theater the young Yarashev became a real artist under the direction of the honored artist, director Mirabid Musayev. In this theater he played the leading roles: Farkhad in the musical drama “Farkhad and Shirin”, and Takhir in “Takhir and Zukhra”. In 1945 Sattar Yarashev was invited to Tashkent. Here he creates a number of memorable images and performances of Soviet and foreign authors. At the same time Yarashev's talent is developing as a performer of popular folk songs. In 1947, the actor went to improve his skills in Moscow. He became a student of the Uzbek Opera Studio at the Moscow State Conservatory named after Tchaikovsky. After the graduation from Conservatory, Sattar Yarashev was invited to join the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theater as a singer. He created vivid images in opera performances. The actor performed the roles of Majnun (“Leili and Majnun”), Furkat (“The Fate of the Poet”), Moni (“Dilorom”), Yulchi (“Light in Darkness”), Kadir (Gulsara), Shepherd (“Maysara's tricks”) and others. In 1972 he graduated from the Tashkent Conservatoire. His work was highly appreciated by the people and the Government of the Republic. He was awarded the Order of the “Labor Flag”, the "Sign of Honor", medals, diplomas, and in 1959 he was awarded the title of People's Artist of Uzbekistan, and from 1967 – the title of associate professor of the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute. On November 23, the State Academic Bolshoi Theater named after Alisher Navoi celebrates a creative evening dedicated to the memory of Sattar Yarashev.
