A fabulous and real world, fiction and real feelings and passions intertwined together in the ballet "Thousand and One Nights". The endless struggle of the feminine and masculine finds reconciliation in the final scene. Thanks to the power of art, which is owned by the beautiful Shakherezade, the formidable Shakhriyar managed to understand what real love and loyalty is in the world.
SYNOPSIS
The first act
An ancient legend tells that the powerful king Shakhriyar once said goodbye to his beloved wife and went hunting. Suddenly returning to the palace, he finds his wife in the arms of a slave. He deals with his wife and comes to a terrible decision - to execute all the young women of his kingdom.
But the Beauty and Wisdom come to the world of Evil and violence - this is due to Shakherezade. Love awakens in the fierce heart of Shakhriyar. But even this feeling does not soften the cruel heart and Shakherezade must also die, like thousands of other women. A thousand and one nights Shakherezade tells fairy tales to the king...
The second act
"About Sindbad the Sailor and the Bird of Happiness"
After the fierce storm, Sindbad the brave Sailor was thrown onto an uninhabited island. Recovering, he notices the wonderful bird of Happiness, which illuminates the life of everyone who was fortunate enough to meet her. But Bird of Happiness is sad - she is pursued by the enemy - the evil bird Rukh. But the brave Sindbad boldly enters the fight with the Rukh bird, defeats her and frees the Bird of Happiness from the evil power. From now on, her kind light will illuminate both his life and the lives of other ones with a warm heart and a pure soul.
"About the beautiful Budur and Aladdin"
East market. Suddenly, the menacing sounds of fanfare are heard. Beautiful Budur, the daughter of the local ruler, marches under a canopy, accompanied by the guards. It is forbidden to look at her to the common people on pain of death. But Aladdin broke the ban and only one look lit the love for her in his heart. Young Budur does not hide her feelings as well. Suddenly an insidious Maghribine man appears, who is eager to receive the magic lamp of Aladdin. Maghribine man separates lovers. But in the battle with the cunning and treacherous enemy Aladdin prevails and faithful Genie, who appeared from the lamp, returns beloved Budur to him, and the Happiness of great beautiful Love with her.
"About Ali Baba and 40 robbers"
Ali Baba accidentally learns the secret of the magic cave. He penetrates there and takes away a whole bag of gold, looted by robbers. Upon learning of this, the robbers pursue him, in anticipation of a quick reprisal. Ali Baba resorts home. Faithful and loving wife Marjana is ready to help him. Under the guise of a distinguished guest, the ataman of the gang comes to Ali Baba's house to kill him. Having conceived an ingenious plan, Marjana greets the guest with affability and affectionately. Dancing in front of him, she conquers the ataman with her beauty and lulls his wariness. At a convenient moment, Ali Baba and Marjana deal with him. Once again, good is stronger than evil, and the mind is above nonsense and swagger.
EPILOGUE
Even after hearing the beautiful tales of Shakherezade about the power of Love and Loyalty, Shakhriyar is unable to soothe his soul. Love and Jealousy fight in his heart. And he decides to go hunting again. Will Shakherezade be loyal to him, or Good is stronger than Evil only in her beautiful fairy tales?
Returning from the hunt, he sees Shakherezade surrounded by the heroes of her wonderful fairy tales. And the faith in Love and Good will now fill the heart of Shakhriyar forever...
