Ceremony of awarding the Certificate of Honor of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan to the State Academic Bolshoi Theater named after A.Navoi
September 29, 2017, the ceremony of awarding the Certificate of Honor of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan to the State Academic Bolshoi Theater named after A.Navoi took place at the residence of the Ambassador of Japan in Uzbekistan. After the presentation of the Certificate of Honor by the Ambassador of Japan, Mr. Ito, a friendly reception was held.
The Ceremony, in addition to competent persons of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre named after Alisher Navoi, was attended by high-ranking officials from the Ministry of culture and the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Mr. Muratov, Director of the Theater named after Navoi, delivered a speech at the Ceremony: "I would like to thank the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan for receiving such an honorable award. Uzbekistan and Japan have established traditional friendly relations and Japan is one of the important partner countries for us. Japanese internees took part in the construction of the Bolshoi Theater named after Navoi and this fact remains an important memory for the people of Uzbekistan. After the reconstruction and re-opening of the theater in 2015, an unforgettable event was the visit of the theater's welcome concert by the Prime Minister of Japan, Mr. Shinzo Abe. Today the Bolshoi Theater named after A. Navoi performs an important role as a symbol of friendship and cooperation between the two countries."
