People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Normumin Sultanov was born in the city of Nukus. In 1994 he graduated from the Kyev State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky in the class of Professor Vladimir Timokhin. Even as a student, he was a soloist of the House of Organ and Chamber Music in Kiev. Since 1995 he is the leading soloist of the opera company of the Bolshoi Theater named after A. Navoi. On the recommendation of the Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with the support of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Regional Authorized Representative of the Foundation named after Konrad Adenauer performed for the first time in Tashkent the "Passion for John" by J.S. Bach (on Good Friday, April 13, 2001 in the Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus). With the support of the Italian Embassy in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the premiere of Verdi's Requiem took place, where N. Sultanov performed the main tenor part. In addition to acting in the theater, N. Sultanov conducts an extensive concert, charity and tour activities. Among them: Music evenings of friendship between the Republic of Korea and Uzbekistan. He repeatedly performed at opera and concert stages of Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Poland, Greece, Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. N. Sultanov has a lyrical voice of beautiful timbre and bright filling, which allows him to successfully perform a wide range of leading tenor parties. Repertoire: Edgar ("Lucia di Lammermoor", G. Rimsky-Korsakov) Nadir ("Seekers of Pearls", J. Bizet) In 2007 he was awarded the title of "Honored Artist of Uzbekistan". In 2014 he was awarded the title of "People's Artist of Uzbekistan".
