Yakubjanov Fazliddin Shamsutdinovich was born in the city of Samarkand. In 1966 he graduated from the Musical College of Samarkand, specializing in choral conducting. In 1971 he graduated from the Tashkent State Conservatory - the choral conducting department, in 1976 - the department of opera and symphony conducting (class of People's Artist of the USSR, State Prize laureate, Professor Mukhtar Ashrafi). From 1973 to 1979 he worked as a conductor at the Samarkand State Opera and Ballet Theater. From 1979 to 1981 he interned at the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Shevchenko in Kiev under the guidance of People's Artist of the USSR, Professor Stefan Turchak. Since 1982, he was the chief conductor of the Samarkand Opera and Ballet Theater. Since 2002, he is the chief conductor of the Bolshoi Theater named after A. Navoi. The repertoire includes about 30 opera and ballet performances of the world and Uzbek national classics, among them: "Troubadour", "La Traviata", "Rigoletto" by G. Verdi; "Pagliacci" by R. Leoncavallo; "Boris Godunov" by M. Mussorgsky; "Theater Director" by V.-A. Mozart; "Bell" by G. Donizetti; "The Barber of Seville" by G. Rossini; “Faust” by S. Gounod; "Dilorom" by M. Ashrafi; "Takhir and Zukhra" by T. Jalilov and B. Brovtsyn; "Meysar's tricks" by S. Yudakov; "Swan Lake", "Sleeping Beauty", "The Nutcracker", "Francesca da Rimini" by P. Tchaikovsky; "Giselle" by A. Adan; “Don Quixote” by L. Minkus; "Legend of Ancient Afrosiab" by G. Mushel; "Bolero" by M. Ravel; "Coppelia" by L. Delibes; "A Thousand and One Nights" by F. Amirov, and others. In 1992 he was awarded the title "Honored Artist of Uzbekistan". In 2016 he was awarded the order "Mekhnat Shukhrati".
