Alisher Navoi's birthday was widely celebrated at the Tashkent airport

On February 9, the 584th anniversary of the birth of the great poet Mir Alisher Navoi is celebrated. On this day, "Uzbekistan Airports" in cooperation with Alisher Navoi State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet organized a thematic performance in the departure hall of the capital's international airport.

Abdigani Roziev and Shavkat Ziyomukhamedov, the leading soloists of the Big Theater, created the image of Alisher Navoi and Abdurahman Jami for several hours. Passengers and guests of the airport had the opportunity to listen to the poems of the famous poet of the Middle Ages, take pictures with theater actors dressed as historical characters.
"Animators dressed in historical costumes walk in the terminals of many airports around the world. This is both popularization of national culture and demonstration of the country's tourism potential. We decided to use this practice at the Tashkent airport and dedicated it to Alisher Navoi's birthday. Our idea was supported by the State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Alisher Navoi, so today the leading actors of the theater performed the roles of Navoi and Jami. At the terminal, where there are many foreign passengers, the heroes were greeted with great enthusiasm, took photos for souvenirs, and listened to poems in different languages ​​with pleasure. The cultural performance involved more than a thousand passengers flying to Sharjah, Tehran, Sharm al-Sheikh, Moscow, Almaty, Dushanbe, Bishkek, Istanbul and other cities today.
