Concertmasters of the opera


Slonim Lyudmila



Slonim Lyudmila was born in Tashkent. In 1972 she graduated from the secondary special music school named after Gliere. In 1977 she graduated from the Tashkent State Conservatory with a degree in composition (class of Professor G. Mushel). She worked as a teacher and accompanist at the Department of Music Theater of the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute named after A. Ostrovsky and at the Department of Opera Training of the Tashkent State Conservatory. In 1984 and 1986, at the invitation of the management of the theater-studio of the opera of the Academy named after Gnessins (Moscow), she participated in the preparation and production of the performances "The Queen of Spades" by P.I. Tchaikovsky and “The Witch” by V. Vlasov. Since 1992 she works as a concertmaster of the Bolshoi Theater named after A. Navoi, where she takes part in the preparation and release of opera performances, concert programs. As a composer, she is the author of music for performances: “Cinderella” (2002), “Jugenstern” (“The Star of Youth”), “The Country of November” by Grass (2000), “Twelfth Night” by W. Shakespeare (2001) , "Hoffmannian" by the novels of E. Hoffmann (2003), "The Curse of the Nibelungen" according to the ancient German epic (2004); chamber opera "Drama" based on the story of Anton Chekhov (staged by the opera studio of TSC in 1989); as well as cycles of romances for poems by O. Mandelstam and B. Pasternak (1999), D. Merezhkovsky (2005), medieval Japanese poets.
